Malibu-Zuma Trancas Canyon/Big Zuma Loop

Trail Stats: 10.7 miles, 2600 elevation gain Bikes are allowed on fireroads only in Zuma / Trancas Canyon. This loop is very scenic and very strenuous. The footing is hard packed with rocks and rutts in places. The grade is moderate with a long steep climb. Bring water with you. Zuma/Trancas Canyon – Backbone Trail to Kanan Road

Trail Stats: 11.7 miles, 2700 ft elevation gain Backbone trail is a popular hiking and mountain biking trail. After passing Backbone Trail, the area becomes very remote. Connect onto Zuma Ridge Trail for a long climb with beautiful ocean views. This route is great for anyone who loves climbing a non-technical trail in solitude.
