Malibu Creek State Park – Malibou Lake / Lake Vista Trail

Trail Stats:  1.9 miles, 400 ft elevation Bikes are not allowed on this loop. This is a hiking and horseback riding trail. The footing is firm ground with embedded rocks, loose and rutted in places from horse traffic. The grade is flat to moderate. This loop begins at Ronald Reagan Ranch in Malibu Creek State Park. Follow the driveway leading to beautiful single track trails enveloped with trees giving a nice trail for a sunny day. Paramount Ranch – Paramount Ranch Loop

Trail Stats: 2.3 miles, 230 ft elevation The hills are rolling spotted with oak trees, and the footing is firm smooth ground with a few rocks. The trail begins at the parking area near the restrooms. The ranch is a network of many short connecting trails. Each one is very beautiful. Some of these trails are not marked. The area is wide open and the connecting trails are visible most of the time. This area is great for a short ride with the option to connect across the street to Malibu Creek State Park at Ronald Reagan Ranch. Cheeseboro – Palo Comado Canyon Trail / Cheeseboro Ridge

Trail Stats: 17.5 miles, 3000 ft elevation gain Heavy mountain bike traffic on Cheeseboro Cyn Trail for a mile or two. The rest of this trail is a nice get away. This is a non-technical trail mainly on fireroads with firm to rocky footing and a lot of climbing. This trail is tough on the legs, although the views make it worthwhile. There isn’t any water available on the trail, and there are times when the trail is far away from necessities. Cheeseboro – Cheeseboro Canyon Trail / Sulphur Springs

Trail Stats: 9.3 miles, 800 ft elevation gain Heavy mountain bike traffic on Cheeseboro Canyon Trail. There is residential street riding on Chesebro Road for one mile. Modelo Trail can connect to the parking lot to avoid street travel. The footing is firm smooth ground with loose rocky sections. Travel through sulphur springs, and climb sandstone rocks with moderate hills. Cheeseboro-Palo Comado Canyon Trail to Ranch Center Road

Trail Stats: 8.7 miles, 1200 ft elevation gain Heavy mountain bike traffic on Cheeseboro Cyn Trail. This is a non-technical ride with firm smooth footing for most of the time.
